Turbo Expo ’14

Turbo Expo 2014

Intelligent Light looks forward to our participation at Turbo Expo every year.  This high-quality conference and exhibition brings together many of the leaders working on Turbomachinery projects.

We recognized several themes at the 2014 Turbo Expo in Dusseldorf, Germany. Two themes were especially common:

  1. Transient data presents workflow difficulties due to the size and complexity of turbo data. The challenges are present with commercial, in-house, and open source solvers. — The use of FieldView XDB files for data management with transient data is increasing and interest is strong.  Users wish to generate the XDB files both interactively and automatically in batch.  The interactive performance of FieldView with transient datasets continues to open possibilities for analysts with turbo data.
  2. Automated batch processing is important and reliability is often an issue. — The reliability of FieldView for batch, parallel performance, and full backward compatibility generated excitement among these CFD practitioners.

As always, the event was a great opportunity to meet with our user community in attendance and collect valuable feedback that will drive our accelerated FieldView feature development.  Great requests from users working with gas turbines, marine applications, engine development for aerospace, and more.

If you missed us at Turbo Expo, we’d still like to discuss your CFD challenges.  Contact Us.
